Photogrounds is a simple typing game where you must press the right keys in the right order in order to take pictures of popular Newgrounds characters. It's in support of a book where people are really taking pictures of popular Newgrounds characters as portrayed in real life. Be sure to visit the Photobook website.
Gameplay:
There are 3 difficulty levels, which are made harder both by how many keys you must press in the same amount of time, and which keys may be required. There are 10 levels, and each one has different Newgrounds characters. The entire game takes less than 2 minutes to play. Here's the breakdown by difficulty and level:
Easy (3 letters, pinky and ring don't move):
Level 1 - Pico - 12 poses, 60 points
Level 2 - Strawberry Clock - 15 poses, 75 points
Level 3 - Blockhead - 18 poses, 90 points
Easy Total: 45 poses, 225 points
Moderate (4 letters, pinky and ring don't move down):
Level 4 - Salad Fingers - 28 poses, 280 points
Level 5 - Tankmen - 28 poses, 280 points
Level 6 - Alien Hominid - 32 poses, 352 points
Level 7 - Bitey - 32 poses, 352 points
Moderate Total: 120 poses, 1,264 points
Hard (5 letters, all keys):
Level 8 - Jerry Jackson - 45 poses, 990 points
Level 9 - Dad 'n' Me - 45 poses, 990 points
Level 10 - Tom Fulp - 50 poses, 1150 points
Hard Total: 140 poses, 3,130 points
Total: 305 poses, 4,619 points
Medals (9 for 75 points):
I Beat It On Easy! (5) - Complete Easy Mode with no errors. That's the first 3 levels.
I Beat It On Moderate! (10) - Complete Moderate Mode with no errors. That's levels 4-7.
I Beat It On Hard! (25) - Complete Hard Mode with no errors. That's levels 8-10. Note that you do not need to get all these medals in the same game; missing a letter on level 6 does not prevent you from getting I Beat It On Hard!
