It may be worth noting that sometimes when I jump over the large obstacle at the end of the level too early, the level will not end and I have to restart. So I always make sure I wait until the last moment before jumping.

I haven't encountered that particular bug, so I can't confirm it, but you may want to get in touch with the game's creator to make sure he knows and can look in to it.

Nice guide!

A few things:

You can't extend the time for using the shield like you can with ducking.

I found that reacting a few steps before obstacles allowed you more time to respond to other obstacles that came right up after. For example, jumping a few steps before a Hoplite allowed you to immediately kill a farmer right after him. Or, dodging a tree a few steps before allowed you time to immediately block an arrow strike.

I don't know about anyone else, but I didn't get the medal for unlocking all the game modes - or do unlocking all the armor count for this?

Make sure you're using an uncached version of the game. The medal was originally broken, and was fixed later, but I found that in Firefox I had to specifically delete my cached files to get it to load the most recent version; Ctrl-F5 didn't do it.

I love you, this was so helpful. Hippolyta is such a good game but my computer runs it at full speed as well and its so much harder than slower comps.

My home computer is the same. Damn fast-enough-to-run-games-properly computers!

Seriously though, for Hippolyta it's kind of a pain. You could try running lots of other things in the background, but that may or may not end up screwing you in the end, because if the process finishes before you do then the game will suddenly return to full speed when you're not expecting it to.

Thanks for the advice, I now have that medal.

Just an observation from playing the game: I don't think it matters if the computer is somewhat slow, you can still get the time achievements in story mode. Strangely enough, , I just can't replicate the same for hardcore mode - except for the 1st level - going at the same speed. Even stranger, I get all 5 achievements for the "Finish Hardcore quickly". Odd... Even on my faster computer I still have problems obtaining those hardcore achievements times, and I'm going as fast as I can.

There also seems to be the ability to continue from the last point in story mode now.

Lastly, I was experimenting with the sound, to hopefully increase the speed for the game, and while, at first, it did seem faster, I also notice it would mess up the cut scene at end by turning it white. Don't know if it's related - probably not - to Bobogoobo's problem.

Great guide! I'd like to throw in something about the farmers though. If you throw your spear just before they appear on screen you will have JUST enough time to throw another one, however it is very unlikely that this will happen.

You've got the wrong people as the enemy. It's Greeks that are after Hippolyta, not the Aztecs.

So many things wrong with this guide. I don't advise people to follow it. The author doesn't understand or know that much about the game... For example:

"If you want to create savepoints in the game so you can do things like buy all the armor for the medal, and then go back to not having any so you can still see a naked woman on your screen, the .sol file is final1.sol and is in the main uploads.ungrounded.net directory, rather than in one of the numbered subdirectories"

Having you tried simply clicking on the armour to enable/disable it?

Also whether it works or not taking advantage of a slower computer only shows how bad you are.
