Not bad, but...

You really need to balance your towers better. As it stands now, the only tower you should ever buy are lots and lots of Long Towers, which by rights you shouldn't be able to purchase at the start anyway, because they're the only towers that do anything remotely close to enough damage to be effective. Freeze Towers don't actually slow the creeps, and it's more worth it to flood the ground with Long Towers than it is to upgrade any of them at all. You also have a problem where when you sell a tower you can't use its space any more, and you really need to increase the amount of coin you get per kill as the levels advance.

Other than that, the simple graphics are nice, and the game runs smoothly enough. Being able to speed up the creeps to 4x is a very nice addition. I have no doubt at all that you'll take what you've done here and improve upon it in your next tower defense game, or maybe even balance this one and make it better. Keep at it!

Not bad

The gameplay is smooth, but the level order needs some work. Those moving platforms on level 1 are a little out of place.

Well done

Having the falling "blocks" affect the ball is a certain type of genius I wish someone had thought of a long time ago. Very nicely done.

Gameplay is a little iffy

I found there were times when the enemy could hit me in melee range but I couldn't him him. That's no good. I also found that because there's no delay between you standing up and the enemy attacking, once you're knocked down you're basically screwed. This made the game stop being fun for me, because between the two things I've mentioned I started getting very frustrated, very quickly. I'm not saying the game should be made easier, just more fair.

Everything else is smooth, the artwork and graphics are fantastic. The in-game instructions say you can hold A for a spin attack though; I tried and nothing happened.

Some of the math answers were wrong

Fun little diversion, but some of the math answers in it are wrong. I got the following math questions to end that segment:

22/4
31/4

The correct answers are 5.5 and 7.75 respectively, but when I put them in I was told it was incorrect. That detracted from my ability to enjoy the game.

Very nice

The only criticism I have is that I don't think we need to watch our computer opponent shoot when it's impossible for him to catch up. If I'm ahead by 600 and he only has 5 arrows left, just go straight to my next 3 shots and call it a day. Or have the round forfeit to me.

I love the dinosaurs' reactions when they're shot though.

Good idea

It needs something to indicate what level you're currently on, it needs a continue button, and it needs something to tell you you have to press M to advance from the Info screen.

Other than that, the music is good, the concept is great, and the execution is solid. Level 10 (I think it's 10 anyway, the one where it's all open except for two blocks which are both moved by a switch to your left) is kicking me in the nads though. It looks impossible, there aren't any angles to play off of. Are you sure it's all there?

OctoFlash responds:

thanks for the review, and yup: every level is possible.

here's a tip for the level you're talking about: be quick.

Not bad

All that's missing is an indicator for where the enemies will come from, so you can place your towers intelligently. Everything else was smooth.

Very nice

Everything's smooth, and the graphics are very slick. The only thing I can see that needs improvement is that on the level selection screen, you sometimes have the wrong coin count. Specifically, level 25 says there are 6 but there are only 5, and level 34 says there are 3 but there are only 2.

Deploy the... I think it's a yellow button... it's usually flashing... it makes the engines go... WHOOSH!
