Neat little game

I suddenly have an urge to play Space Quest.

Heh

Fun little game. I haven't played Castle Crashers, so it was entirely new to me. Only problem is it sometimes registered me as holding the A key when I wasn't, which messed me up a bunch.

Strategy tip: when you get the skull, stay away from him and try to knock around the tombstones. You get experience for hitting them, and can level up for better attacks.

Strategy tip 2: when the floating head is shooting out its red beams, get behind it and swing away. You can pretty easily toss together a 15 hit combo, which is good for 120 experience toward your next level, while at the same time dealing out some serious damage to the beard.

I liked it

A rather enjoyable update to the classic game. Got Pro+ on my first time playing Hard, my third game overall, after getting some 700+ points on Easy in my second game.

The game wouldn't play under Firefox for me though. I had to fire up IE in order to play. Curious, that.

Hmm, thats very strange...

Fantastic idea

I beat the game in under 200 seconds today. It helps when you take the time to figure out the optimal order in which to hit the numbered points before jumping in to gameplay.

Thanks for taking the time to make this.

Very nice

Fantastic for a find game. For those who are wondering, the minimum number of clicks it takes to finish the game is 104, and I haven't been able to finish in less than 170 seconds. Does anyone know the actual click requirement for the Accuracy achievement?

Fantastic

It took me forever to get that first paper. I knew what to do but not from where to do it.

Also I found a bug: on the screen with the fake door and the first explosion, if you shift twice immediately upon entering the explosion happens even though you haven't reached the fake door.

Meh

You know those little touches you put in to make the game cute? Yeah, they just made it frustrating. There are two things you left out of this game, either one of which would have made it much much better: either show us what the next colour ball will be, or show us the new ball immediately. Making us wait for it to cool only serves to interrupt gameplay, and what could have been an engaging play ended up being choppy and irritating. On levels like 17, where the field begins very low, making us wait for the balls to cool is poor.

Will not play again.

Nothing special

The difficulty balancing was really off. Level 70 took me forever, but then after finishing level 70 I reached level 81 in no time at all. Then 81 was hard, then I reached 93 in no time at all. When you make the sequel, judge each level on its own merits rather than "it's this large at this opacity, so it should be level 74"

Also, to those struggling with level 100: it's in the lower left quarter of the image, and very well hidden, but if you're calm enough to recognize it you'll see it clearly.

Great implementation of a great game

I've always liked the game of Life. I keep meaning to go out and find all the patterns, and I'd like to make one that crawls across the screen, reaches the edge, and then crawls back, but I never have the time to figure it out. All that's missing is a turn counter on sandbox mode.

Also, what's with everyone's patterns being symetrical? The asymetrical ones are far more fun:

...and it's amazing how much of a difference 3 pixels makes:

squidsquid responds:

Good idea, I'll add a generation counter in the sandbox if I make a sequel :)

Great little time killer

"Bomb" in 20 seconds or less was definitely the hardest achievement to get. Great game.

Deploy the... I think it's a yellow button... it's usually flashing... it makes the engines go... WHOOSH!
